Hsinchu, Taiwan – January 31, 2014 - Lionic Corporation today announced that its research laboratory, AegisLab, has achieved 100% detection rate certification for AegisLab Antivirus Premium in mobile devices antivirus on AV-Test GmbH (http://www.av-test.org/en/home/). AV-Test is a very famous third party anti-virus benchmark lab. It tests several antivirus solutions over multiple operating systems, such as Windows Antivirus, Android Antivirus, and others. In this round of test, more than 30 mobile security products for Android were tested. 2,191 samples had been used to test the detection of a representative set of malicious apps that discovered in the last 4 weeks (AV-TEST reference set). The usability test includes: Performance (The app does not impact the battery life, The app does not slow down the device during normal usage, The app does not generate too much traffic), and False Warnings (during installation and usage of legitimate apps from Google Play Store — 825 samples used, during installation and usage of legitimate software from third party app stores — 453 samples used).
